The Resorts of Tullymore & St. Ives are located in the heart of Michigan in Mecosta County, the place to be for outdoor enthusiasts. Just a few of the offerings include biking, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, horseback riding and, of course, top-notch golf. Mecosta County also boasts over 100 lakes with great facilities for swimming, fishing and boating.
The Muskegon River runs through the area and is the second longest river in Michigan, stretching 219 miles. It has been ranked among the top 20 rivers by Field & Stream for fishing as well as being ranked in the top 12 by National Geographic for recreation. Several businesses in the area offer tubing, kayaking and canoeing excursions for those who wish to enjoy a relaxing day on the water.
There are several public access lakes just minutes from the course and a riverwalk located in Big Rapids, just 20 miles to the west. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy horseback riding at one of the stables in the area. One, conveniently located between our two courses, offers horseback, pony, wagon and sleigh rides. Its staff also gives western riding lessons and presents group education programs.
Ferris State University, located in Big Rapids, supports 16 varsity sports for those interested in a fun-filled night of intense competition.
